CleanFish Organic Shrimp

CleanFish Shrimp will cook in minutes in the pan or on the grill. Because the shrimp are chem-free, you can get a good sear on them. Add shrimp to salads, stir fries, curries, tacos, pasta, risotto — the possibilities are truly endless. And because they are individually frozen, you can defrost only what you need.

SAFE HANDLING — Keep frozen until ready to use. Remove from packaging and defrost in the refrigerator 8-10 hours before use. Do not defrost at room temperature. Once defrosted, do not refreeze and use within 3 days. 
 

CleanFish Shrimp are certified organic to European standards. Pond sites are located slightly inland to protect mangroves and other critical wetland habitat. Ponds are never lined with plastic, and are drained and sun-dried to fallow between generations. Most crucially, stocking density in the ponds is lower than most shrimp farms globally, so that even aeration, and the energy it uses, is not necessary.

Raised to EU organic standards by a consortium of 12 farms in Costa Rica, no hormones or antibiotics are ever used in raising CleanFish Shrimp, and the shrimp are never treated with chemicals in processing.

Sold in 1 lb bags of individually frozen (IQF) shrimp in two formats: 

36-40 per lb, peeled, deveined and tail-off

31-35 per lb EZ-peel, deveined and tail-on
