Whole Black Sea Bass

This East Coast native makes its way north in the summer, hanging around piers and jetties close to the ocean floor (and eating shellfish, which boosts their flavor). Black sea bass is a member of the grouper family. The fish has a mild flavor that works well in many types of dishes.

Grill or broil these whole fish, or steam them in a foil pack, and top with salsa verde or ginger and scallions. The meat will pull easily away from the bone to serve.

Sold 1 whole fish per pack, 1.25 - 1.5 lbs. approximately, individually vacuum-packed and super-frozen. Whole black sea bass are head-on, scaled and gutted.
