Wulf's Kitchen: Grilled Shrimp and Nectarine Skewers

Time to light up the grill, because summer is officially here. Whether you are a beginner or a grill master, you can’t go wrong with grilling shrimp. Our Laughing Bird Organic Shrimp and Chili Lime spice blend are an absolute perfect pair. We added them to skewers with nectarine slices for a sweet and salty treat with just a little kick of heat. Don’t forget the squeeze of lime at the end. The acid brings all these flavors together.  

 

We recommend serving these skewers with coconut rice and mango salsa.  

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Laughing Bird Organic Shrimp from CleanFish (peeled or EZ-peel)
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons Wulf’s Chili Lime spice blend
  • 1 nectarine, pit removed and sliced
  • 6 skewers, pre-soaked if using wooden ones
  • Whole cilantro leaves, for garnish
  • Black sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

1.

Pre-heat your grill while you prepare the rest of the components of this dish. In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with canola oil and chili lime spice blend.

Skewer shrimp and nectarine slices onto pre-soaked skewers and place on a plate or cutting board while skewering the remaining shrimp. You will have about 2 slices of nectarine per skewer.

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes per side, just until the shrimp turn opaque. Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish the shrimp with cilantro leaves and sesame seeds and serve with lime wedges on the side.
